A few exciting things have popped up on my radar recently, so of course I had to share them with you.
White Gold Boutique
I love a good blow dry but let’s be honest, budget doesn’t always allow for us to get one every single day of the week. Until now.
Brisbane’s hair salon, White Gold Boutique has revolutionised the way you treat your tresses with the announcement of their exclusive Good Hair Day Club. Having launched only this month, the boutique salon is offering unlimited blow drys for just $45 per week to 50 of Brisbane’s leading ladies (or men).
We’ve done the maths and the if you become a member, you could receive seven blow drys a week for almost half the price of one (one-off blow drys valued at $75)!
And if that’s not enough, the service also includes a complimentary glass of bubbles and an international lookbook of styles to choose from, including, but not limited to:
1. THE LONDON: Big, bouncy, glossy blow dry
2. THE NEW YORK: Super sleek and super straight
3. THE MONTE CARLO: Glamour waves
4. THE BYRON BAY: Beachy texture
You’ll have to move fast to secure your spot because The Good Hair Day Club only has 50 memberships on offer. For more information phone 07 3358 3778 or visit @white_gold_boutique on Instagram.
The salon is located at 206 Arthur Street, Teneriffe, Brisbane, 4006.
Bacchus Restaurant
Bacchus Restaurant promises to have foodies salivating with breaking culinary news that their acclaimed Truffle Degustation is back! It was hugely popular last winter, so this seasonal degustation has been reimagined by Head Chef Massimo Speroni and features prawn, egg, risotto, beef and ice cream as the key dishes. Yum!
Truffles take a dish from delightful to decadent, from fulfilling to a full-on flavour festival, and in the hands of an international qualified chef, in-season Black Australian Truffles are, magic. The Black Winter Truffles (Tuber melanosporum) used by Chef Speroni come from Tasmania and Western Australia, which are right now, magnificently in-season.
The Bacchus Truffle Degustation features five courses, each perfectly flavored with the fungi that is so sought after all around the world. The five courses are:
- Prawn: tartare black truffle with prawns from Shark Bay in WA
- Egg: Free range 64-degree egg, with potato textures
- Risotto: Chef Speroni’s classic Italian parmesan recipe with acid butter
- Beef: black market smoked eggplant and camel cheese with Pure Black Angus (MB5+) from Rangers Valley in NSW
- Ice Cream: chocolate and truffle
It is available only until August 4, 2018 and is priced at $179.00 per person or $269 per person with continuous Savatere Pinot Noir.
