Before my appointment, the team at Brisbane Skin were incredible, accommodating my busy schedule and facilitating phone and email appointments when I could not attend in person. When I finally entered their chic Newstead practice, I was blown away by the friendly staff and amazing service. From the moment I entered I felt like a queen, treated to hot green tea, biscuits and soft soothing 70s music. Dr M examined my skin, explained the procedure and wrote me a prescription for an existing skin condition (AMAZING!) before sending me to a lush blue waiting room for the numbing cream to do its thing. I waited for barely an hour, sipping tea and reading, before a nurse took me into the treatment room.
The laser stung slightly as it went in a criss-cross pattern along my skin. But the numbing cream, friendly conversation and cool air that accompanied the beam ensured the whole process was comfortable and not too painful. The entire treatment took around 15 minutes and I was sent home before noon covered in soothing gel with a bag full of aftercare goodies. Brisbane Skin provided me with towels, moisturizers, sunscreens, cleansers, serums, antibiotics, and painkillers if needed as well as detailed instructions on how to look after my new skin! The entire process was effortless and luxurious, making what can be a sometimes-painful procedure feel like a day at the spa!
With my take home pack and continued support from Brisbane Skin, my recovery has been a breeze. Not even two weeks later and I can already see the results! Whilst the area is still recovering from the procedure, underneath my skin is clear, even, and glowing - just in time for the beach!
